How to reduce body fat when losing weight

 

So many people when looking to lose weight just end up losing muscle instead of reducing body fat! Why is this?

How can you make sure you reduce body fat when losing weight?

Most slimming clubs will just weigh every week which kinda defeats the purpose as in reality you could have gained muscle and lost body fat but overall not have lost weight.

I always work with clients using a method that will help to build lean muscle and reduce body fat at the same time. This gives many advantages over other programmes that don’t use this approach. Your shaping and toning will improve and you will have less chance of excess flab after you lose the weight. This is really important, particularly if you have a lot of weight to lose.

I focus on getting sufficient protein in your diet which will help to satisfy you more, and will help to build lean muscle and reduce body fat. This in turn will help your metabolism to speed up and you will start to burn more fat. A win-win!

Your body needs a certain percentage of fat for insulation and cushioning, and women need more fat than men, but having too much body fat is associated with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and many other ailments. In particular, keeping the fat around your abdomen, called visceral fat, to a minimum is important, as too much puts pressure on your vital organs all housed in the abdomen area and this hinders the organs ability to function properly.

It’s all about getting the right balance of Protein, Carbs and good Fats in your day. Getting enough Protein will satisfy your hunger, help to balance your blood sugars, which then reduces cravings, and it will help to build lean muscle. When you build more muscle in your body, you will shape up much better, and your body will naturally burn more calories as muscle burns more calories than fat.  This is the key. There is no point in losing weight if you end up losing muscle.
